There was an interesting report in the press earlier this week from Kingston University advocating that we don't forget about creative skills whilst we focus on the importance of STEM - how important is creativity for the employment areas you have identified as crucial to fit the current gaps in the region?
Yes! I hope I am an example of having a successful career in tech without A level Maths.... normally sophisticated coding needs logic but some software needs mathematics expertise, depends on the subject.
Question for all speakers - what would be your number 1 request to UK HE providers to improve/change the way they prepare their graduates for employment?
Are these apprenticeships aimed towards school leavers/early career staff or would the qualification add value to more mature employees?

In HE its so important that graduates/postgraduates connect with their Career Services from the very beginning of their course so that they can get support to develop their employability skills - including acing the competency based interviews/assessment centres/building confidence in networking/developing elvator pitch etc.
How important are Arts subjects to these careers?
